This time around we have an OG who briefly left us. Only to return with a scorching streak of incredible Invitational entries. I am so glad she is back with full force, displaying her incredible talents in the community once more. ONe of the best writers on Hive. Guys, gals, and non-binary pals, I bring to you... π₯π₯π₯

A master at her craft, Diva can write in just about any genre. I can call you Diva, right? Well, I'm gonna! π It is very rare to see someone switch up tonality and theme with such ease. Maybe this is why she is so damn good at writing contests? π€
Diva's subject matter is very mature. Not only that but it's dense. Packed to the brim with meaning. She writes like there is no tomorrow, often handing in pieces with the maximum word count allowed. In this post, we will feature two of her recent contest entries to examine how she tackles stories with vastly different subject matter.
This first tale is a sci/fi thriller that will leave you glued to your screen. As with all of Diva's writings, it is paced beautifully. Masterfully displaying that mature tone I mentioned. Even though this is the second part, I urge you to read the entire story.
Carlton's parents. Their home abandoned by humans and pets. The interior reeked of stale air with dust settling on all unoccupied spaces. Evan secured the doors and windows. The only one uninjured, he tended to their wounds. Fifteen minutes later, Gretchen located food in the fridge. They didn't complain.
From post-apocalyptic action to something completely different - let's fall in love. β€οΈ
Again, it is apparent how deft @justclickindiva is with her pen. Able to write nuance with such ease. This takes years of hard work to achieve, so don't sweat it if your writing is not up to scratch.
In this second entry, her care to reveal only as much as she needs to is impeccable. We are strung around for the ride. At Diva's mercy. Good thing that said ride is heartwarming and cuddly. π
Immediately, another notification chimed. Her pulse quickened. For a long second, she stared at the screen, biting her lip while twisting her wedding ring, then quickly closed the top. She pulled out her phone. Her son could advise on her next move. Although he opposed his mother dating again, he realized her desire for companionship.
I hope that her recent activity is a sign of things to come. I deeply enjoy reading her stories and am happy she has graced our contest with her presence. She was here at the inception of this community, and she has recently led the charge in the return of the Invitational. Few people are as talented as Diva on HIve, and I am happy she shares said talents with us here.
