Took me my entire life to decipher that phrase. My granps used to say it on-and-off so it always stuck with me. I asked my pops once about it but he didn't care. What else is new?
Forget I mentioned that deadbeat. The phrase is what's important. Me, at this podium, talking to all of you, is what's important. This moment. This, right here. Is what's important.
Hello boys, my name is Johnson Miles and I'm here to talk about life and what's important. Right now, all of us are -
"Excuse me?"
Yes?
"Is this a chauvinistic conference?"
No, of course not.
"Then why did you say hello boys? Are there no girls allowed?"
Hah. Haha. Simmer down people, simmer down. It's a turn of phrase, you see. I'm glad you brought that up since we will be primarily talking about phrasing today. Speech can be a very divisive thing, but it can also bring people together.
"Look at him trying to worm himself out of this one."
"I'm writing this in my blog..."
"Chauvinistic pig!"
That's not fair! It's all part of the argument. If I could divert your attention back to the phrase you see on your screen. The call to action, right? This can mean several different things... sir? Where are you going? Ma'am?
It's a wrap Miles. We won't air this one. Just try not making a bigger fool of yourself.
Yes, aha, I've just received word that all your tickets will be refunded with a chance to earn a free ticket for our next talk!
"Yeah, like we're ever coming back to this... I'm disgusted I even came."

I'm not the bad man! If you listened you would understand the nuance of this talk envelopes humanity as a whole. Our fault as a species -

Remember to think about the phrasing! When you're by yourself in an unbiased mindset, I implore you remember the phrase: I miss the call -
"Get off the stage!"
